Nationally touring indie/roots performers REBECCA LOEBE, RAINA ROSE & 3 PENNY ACRE are joining forces to record a collaborative live album featuring original songs, stunning 4-part harmonies and multiple instrumentalists. The three acts have become friends over the past several years of sharing stages at venues and festivals across the country and were recently approached by a DC-based record label interested in releasing an album celebrating the unique chemistry they bring together on stage.
REBECCA LOEBE has been touring the US coast to coast for the past 5 years and rose to mainstream prominence as a contestant on the first season of NBC’s “The Voice,” where she performed an original arrangement of Nirvana’s ‘Come As You Are.’ A Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Award winner, she was recently featured in the Top 10 of Alternate Root magazine’s list of the Top 30 Female Vocalists.
RAINA ROSE is a Portland-raised, Austin-based internationally touring songwriter who revels in sharing with you her beautifully twisted, yet refreshingly optimistic perspective on the world. Her unique voice and exceptional guitar playing transcend age, gender, generation, and even catch the ears of those who aren’t typically into acoustic guitar-driven songwriting. Her new album CALDERA was recorded in Austin and has garnered early support from tastemaker station KUT.
3 PENNY ACRE is a musical collaboration between three songwriters: Bayard Blain, Bernice Hembree, and Bryan Hembree. Fans and critics have identified their unique, Ozark-inspired sound as distinct, yet universally appealing. Listeners in all corners have come to appreciate their attention to lyrics, harmony, and carefully crafted acoustic arrangements steeped in roots music traditions but with a focus on fresh, new songwriting.
