|Carter Beckworth is a musician based out of Austin, Texas. He released his debut album, Fairweather Grace in 2007. He is also the lead vocalist of the acclaimed hard-rock band, Baker Hotel, with whom he has released two albums, 2008’s Baker Hotel, and Hard To Prove (2010).”Beckworth’s voice is smooth, with just the right amount of soulful grit to his songs that build from their solid singer-songwriter frameworks into rootsy, guitar driven pop.”- Andrew Dansby, The Houston Chronicle
2011 saw the release of Beckworth’s self-titled sophomore album, which demonstrated his ability to exist within his own unique combination of genres. Touring in support of his self-titled release, Beckworth performed in over 35 states throughout the U.S. and Canada the following year, sharing stages with noteworthy performers such as Ryan Bingham, Hayes Carll, Radney Foster, Bob Schneider, Randy Rogers, and Monte Montgomery.
For his third solo effort, Beckworth enlisted the guidance of producer Fred Mollin (Sheryl Crow, Chris Cornell, Billy Joel). Humble Heart was released on September 24, 2013. Recorded at Reba McEntire’s world-famous Starstruck Studios in Nashville, the album features 12 guitar-driven tracks over which the Texan’s raspy tenor resounds.
“Although most often classified as a rock artist, Beckworth is supremely happy with the musical liberty permitted to him by the post-genre age.” – Michael Barnes, The Austin American-Statesman
