With Rock’n’Roll roots once again planted firmly within Oklahoma’s Red-Dirt, Blake Lankford concludes a 2 year stint in Nashville and returns to the heartland with a brand new record ‘Goodbyes & Bad Breakups’. The upcoming release features the first single, ‘The Closest Thing To You’, which combines powerful harmonies, haunting melodies, and cleverly honest lyrics.
Before leaving the sooner state in 2009, the raspy crooner from Oklahoma City, OK performed regularly at such venues as: The Wormy Dog Saloon, Drinkz, JJ’s Alley, Dan McGuinness, & The Blue Note.
In addition to live performances, Lankford was also selected by the Award-Winning ‘Jack & Ron Morning Show’ (98.9 KISS FM) as The HomeGrown Artist of the Week, and was considered to be a ‘Top Ten Oklahoma Artist, according to BROADJAM.COM.
