For many music fans, Terry Ware may be best known as guitarist for Ray Wylie Hubbard and the Cowboy Twinkies, a group which performed all over the country from 1973 to 1979, including a stint at the Troubador in Los Angeles and tours with Willie Nelson. Ware then played with singer/songwriter Jimmy LaFave for several years.

Since 2000 Ware has been a freelance guitarist backing established artists including Eliza Gilkyson, Wanda Jackson, Don Conoscenti and numerous others including John Fullbright, with whom he appeared on the 2013 Grammy pre-telecast and on David Letterman. Ware has led the house band and served as master of ceremonies for the Hoot for Huntington’s at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival since 2003.

Greg describes The Shambles’ music as “…rock & roll with jazz and country soul all over the grooves,” and Dan Forte of Vintage Guitar Magazine has written that “Oklahoman Ware’s instrumental projects invariably showcase his knack for hooky originals, sense of humor, and interplay with a stable of topflight session players..” (Norman Transcript)
