Roger Lienke is an Oklahoma City musician, composer and lyricist. Texan by birth, and raised in Minnesota, Roger’s veins nonetheless run with the musical lifeblood of an Oklahoman.
Spurred by the multi-faceted musicality of family heritage, and former rock and roll partnership with his brothers, Roger has internalized an ancestral chemistry of Chautauqua Tent Show performer and Broadway Song and Dance man.
From northern folk music, with an underbelly of rhythm and blues, deep down into the country-soul imagination of the Oklahoma urban prairie, Roger has forged a distinct mix of singer, player and writer. His work holds up a mirror to the culture we co-invent and invites us to see what we see.
